This Fall, you are invited to join Deacon Ray on a journey of exploration and discovery of the third person of the Trinity: The Holy Spirit. Using the fascinating video series ‘The Wild Goose’ by Fr. David Pivonka on the ‘FORMED’ website, participants will increase their awareness of the role of the Holy Spirit in their faith journey. Each week participants will watch a video at home with a small amount of reading, and then gather to discuss and explore together.
There will be 8 sessions running from September 28th to November 17th. Each week there will be two opportunities to participate: Wednesday evenings 6:30 – 8:00 PM and Thursday mornings 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM. Sessions are located in the Parish Meeting House.
There is no cost and all are welcome, young adult age and up. Participants are asked to bring a copy of the bible with them for reference.
‘The Wild Goose’ is an ancient Celtic term for the Holy Spirit. Fr. David Pivonka, TOR, is currently President of the Franciscan University of Steubenville. To learn more about his ministry, visit www.thewildgooseisloose.com.
From Fr. Pivonka:
“Pray. . . ‘Come Holy Spirit.’ At this very moment, stop and ask the Holy Spirit to come to you.
If you allow him, the Wild Goose will lead you to a place of mercy, healing, peace, and presence.
The Wild Goose series will help you experience a deeper relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit, and as you come to experience God’s presence and power, this very same Spirit will transform you and bring you freedom.”
