Please find our beautiful chapel to your left as you come in the main doors of the Church.
Come and join us in the Chapel to pray the Rosary, in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, after 8:30 AM Mass on the 3rd Sunday of every month, usually about 9:35.
Tradition tells us that the Rosary was gifted to us by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. She is said to have appeared to St. Dominic himself (who founded the Dominicans, AKA the order of Preachers) in the 13th Century. She gave him a Rosary and asked that instead of the psalms Christians should pray the Hail Mary, Our Father, and Glory Be instead.
The original Dominican Rosary had 15 decades (10 Hail Marys for each of the 150 Psalms) but in modern times there are just 10 decades. In addition, when a Rosary is said, it focuses on one of four sets of mysteries that help us keep in mind the bigger picture: The Joyful Mysteries, the Luminous Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, the Glorious Mysteries.
